, center for improvement of policing
ProPolice, center for improvement of policing was implemented by the Open Society as an outcome of its successful project of Promotion of community policing into Czech police practice in 2007. ProPolice aspires to test new appropaches and to bring new ideas into police work an thus help police to change into more open and respectful institution.
We want police not only to "administer" crime but also to be able to target its sources effectively. We assume that police work as well as crime and disorder are not just a state's administration matter so far as it touches all of the citizens.
