ProCulture (www.proculture.cz) draws on the ten years of experience that the Open Society Fund Prague Foundation's Arts and Culture Program had gained. In early 2003, the Open Society launched its research, information and education centre for arts and culture. ProCulture aims to raise the capacity and professionalism of Czech culture organizations by supplying them with relevant information and services in order to form the conditions for their sustainability and to use pro-active culture policies to raise the public awareness of the positive role that arts and culture play in the Czech Republic.

ProCulture aims to promote good practices and strategies of culture policies. It publishes documents introducing various approaches to the area of culture policy and presents culture organizations. Particular emphasis is laid on raising awareness about the latest trends and on promoting successful policies that have contributed to the development of various regions throughout the European Union.

ProCulture's activities are supported by the Open Society Fund Prague. Since 2005, our web pages have been supported by the Ministry of Culture. ProCulture is involved in the Culture Action Europe, a platform for cultural policies and development in Europe, an organization bringing together non-state non-profit organizations of various EU member states.
